Southampton is the largest City within Hampshire and is just roughly 60 miles away from London.    It is well known for being a major port for Cruise Ships, and has always enjoyed a rich maratime history.

Southampton is also well known for housing one of the UK’s largest shopping centres, the West Quay Centre.  Opened in the year 2000, it contains many high street brand named stores,  including Apple and many others.

There are also a number of interesting museums within Southampton, including one planned for opening in 2012 – the Titanic memorial museum.

If you’re looking for a night out, Southampton has a thriving entertainment scene, with many Pubs and Clubs, but where the city excels is within the live music arena.  Having played host to some of the biggest bands around – Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, Amy Winehouse, and many others, theres sure to be something you enjoy on at any given night!

Southampton is a perfect choice for a cheap vacation – and is located on most of the major Cruise shipping lines.
